, which is located within St Luke's Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey Hospital, provides holistic and psychological support to cancer patients and their families. Services provided by the charity include counselling, complementary therapies like massage, acupuncture and reflexology and run groups for yoga, art, meditation and bereavement. Being able to collect cashless donations became increasingly important during the pandemic so they started investigating different cashless options.

Susan Jordan, Fundraising and Events Lead at The Fountain Centre, explains: ‘The services we provide at The Fountain Centre are vital to St Luke’s Cancer patients and their families. When someone is diagnosed, the nurses include the holistic services we offer as part of their consultation. We’re also the only charity in south east England to offer one-to-one counselling to the children of those diagnosed with cancer and we rely on donations to continue to provide these important services. When the pandemic hit, our charity really struggled and we knew that we needed a cashless donation option as people rarely carry any cash. I saw a Payaz donation kiosk at my local church and they really recommended it. After a lot of research, we decided to invest in a Payaz, which is installed with Give A Little software and I’m so pleased that we did.’

Susan continues: ‘We have the Payaz kiosk on our front desk and it works so well there. Patients using our services often make a donation when they leave and they find it really easy to use. The Give A Little software allows us to customise our campaigns with our logo, different donation amounts and a thank you message and the reports are really useful too. I like the fact that we can create bespoke campaigns for different events through Give A Little and then see how much that campaign raised. We have a number of events where that will be really useful such as our fashion show and annual Christmas concert. We also organise a local fundraising picnic and we’re planning to take the Payaz unit with us as it can be used portably. I’m looking forward to trying out the QR feature on Give A Little as well as that will give us another option to encourage people to donate.’
