Charities have bumper month with Give A Little

We have reached the month of May and it’s time to celebrate!

The Coronation of His Majesty The King (and an extra bank holiday!), an improvement in the weather, another half term (kids all shout “hooray”, parents not so much) and most importantly, we are celebrating charities’ most successful  month through Give A Little, with an amazing £1.48m raised for good causes in April!

This takes us over £18m in total since we started in 2019!

We remember when we passed the first million, it was such a milestone and we were so proud of what we had helped charities achieve.

With the money charities raised through Give A Little in April,

were able to provide 25 art and wellbeing boxes delivered to children and young people's bedsides.
Cancer Research UK
have been able to fund the equivalent of 8 years worth of a Research Assistant and
Longfield Community Hospice
could provide a Nordic walking session for up to 12 patients offering the opportunity to connect with others in a similar situation, keep active and help their mental wellbeing.

Give A Little now has over 5,500 charities using the platform - from small local charities run entirely by volunteers, to large, well known charities such as Cancer Research UK and Oxfam.

It’s well publicised that we are now a cashless society, and Give A Little wants all charities to have access to the technology they need to keep up with this shift.

We are building a community where charities support each other. This model enables the smallest charities to access Give A Little for free, while larger more established charities benefit from valuable additional features by subscribing to Give A Little’s

account.

As Give A Little grows, we in turn give back by reducing our

. The platform is also part-funded by Give A Little’s parent company,
Caution Your Blast Ltd
., as part of its mission to use digital as a force for good.  And being truly mission led, Give A Little does not charge a fee per donation, payment processing fees are solely levied by the processors  Stripe or SumUp. Instead our low cost subscription approach allows charities to budget and understand their outgoings clearly.

We are so proud of how far we have come in such a short time and would like to thank all of the charities who work with us,  for their great feedback for and recommending us. And most of all to the generous donors who support charities, meaning they can continue doing their increasingly important work.

So whilst you’re sitting in your sunny garden awaiting the bbq food, picnicking in the park with the kids or spending the bank holiday catching up with friends, please also toast Give A Little, and all the UK charities who are helping us grow.
