Democratising Cashless Giving: Give A Little Partners with the CIOF to Support Small–Mid Charities

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIoF) to make cashless fundraising more accessible for small-medium sized charities.

Written by Vicky Hewlett 19 October 2026

Through this collaborative initiative, CIOF organisational members raising up to £1m per year can access six months of free access to Give A Little Premium.

This collaboration follows the CIOF recognising Give A Little as Best Supplier to the Charity Sector at the National Fundraising Awards 2026. In their summary, the judges highlighted the platform as

"one of the most accessible, flexible, and affordable ways for charities to collect cashless donations."
Partnering directly with the Institute is a natural extension of a shared commitment to breaking down the practical and financial barriers to cashless fundraising for small and growing charitable organisations.

Supporting Charities to Build Sustainable Income

Since launching in 2019, Give A Little’s core focus has been ensuring no charity is left behind as donor behaviour shifts away from cash. Today, Give A Little supports over 11,700 charitable organisations - ranging from national organisations like Cancer Research UK and War Child to thousands of small, local charities. Together, this community has raised over £100 million, processing £31.5 million in the past year alone.

This initiative gives smaller fundraising teams full access to Give A Little, providing high-quality, donor-focused features to help them collect donations and build lasting supporter relationships:

  • Gift Aid & Data Capture:
Boost eligible donations by 25% with built-in Gift Aid opt-ins, alongside marketing consent options to support ongoing donor stewardship.

  • Campaign Customisation:
Personalise unlimited campaigns with your charity logo, branding, videos, and tailored donation amounts.

  • Inflationary Giving:
Protect the real-world value of recurring monthly donations by allowing donors to easily opt into an annual CPI uplift.

  • In-Depth Reporting:
Track, analyse, and segment fundraising income to better understand donor behaviour.

Equipping Supporters to Fundraise via Smartphones

Upfront hardware costs are often a barrier for charities adapting to cashless giving.

The

Give A Little Champion App
(utilising Tap to Pay with donations processed by Stripe) supports supporter-led fundraising by giving supporters a simple, secure way to collect in-person contactless donations - directly from their own smartphones, without requiring extra hardware.

As Olivia Rainford, Director of Income Generation at Dogs for Good, shared:

"The Give A Little Champion App is a bit of an equaliser... being able to have volunteers fundraising on our behalf is a bit of a game changer."

The app provides flexibility across a range of fundraising activities, from mass participation events and seasonal appeals to everyday community fundraising.

Multi-Channel Cashless Fundraising Solutions

Give A Little supports a variety of ways for donors to give beyond in-person collections. The platform accommodates online giving, regular monthly donations, and QR codes for printed materials, social media, or campaign posters.

For organisations looking to invest in physical fundraising hardware, Give A Little also integrates with a growing network of trusted device partners. This powers a wide range of dedicated contactless terminals, from fixed countertop units for venues to portable donation points for community events.
