Turn your supporters into champions with the new Give A Little Champion App

The Give A Little Champion App
, which utilises Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android, will change the face of supporter-led fundraising by giving supporters a quick, secure and easy way to collect in-person donations from their friends, family and anyone attending events such as bake sales or coffee mornings. The new app empowers  supporters to supplement their digital fundraising for mass participation events such as marathons; charity appeals; community events; seasonal fundraising and more.

Charitable organisations can easily invite and manage groups of supporters from within their Give A Little account as well as track their fundraising.

Donations are processed by leading payment processor Stripe, and supporters are able to accept all payment methods from physical debit and credit cards, to digital wallets including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

that funds raised by a supporter for a campaign can only flow to the charitable organisation’s bank account

  • Charity focused features

The pilot:

20 charities took part in a pilot for the Give A Little Champion App, with Mastercard supporting a free six month trial of Give A Little Premium for charities who were new to the platform.

Darren Deal, Senior Vice President, Fintech, Government and Digital Partnerships at Mastercard: “We’re committed to powering charitable donations and empowering supporters by making giving easier, more impactful and more accessible. Our partnership with Give A Little is the perfect example of how technology can be a force for good, enabling seamless, secure donations - wherever you are. Together, we’re modernising the way people give and helping communities thrive, one tap at a time.”

Charities taking part in the pilot included Dogs for Good; the Stroke Association; St. Catherine’s Hospice and Wales Air Ambulance and they have used the app for a wide range of fundraising scenarios from fundraising galas to mass participation and challenge events. The Give A Little Champion App and the management of supporters via the Give A Little admin dashboard has been described by the charities taking part in the pilot as ‘game-changing’, ‘transformative’ and ‘an equaliser’.

Olivia Rainford, Dogs for Good Director of Income Generation:

“The Give A Little Champion App is a bit of an equaliser, which is unusual in the charity sector. Bigger charities can usually clean up due to big marketing budgets so being able to have supporters fundraising on our behalf is a bit of a game changer and that feels very important to us.”

Sally Woodford, Julia’s House Database Manager:

“When we heard about the Give A Little Champion App pilot, we wanted to be part of it straight away. I was particularly excited about the level of control the app gives us and the ease of managing and allocating income. We were also keen as a charity to show that we’re not afraid of embracing new technology and could see the many benefits of giving people more freedom in the way they can take donations rather than just sending them to JustGiving.“

Nikki Greenfield, St Catherine’s Fundraising - Supporter Services Manager:

“The Give A Little Champion App is a quick and easy way to help supporters raise vital funds for charities, using a supplier that listens and helps create something successful!”
