The Give A Little Champion App - Anyone Can Use It – Even the Little Lifts Dogs!
Little Lifts is a small Norfolk-based charity with a big impact. Founded by Oa Hackett after her own breast cancer diagnosis, the charity creates carefully curated Boxes full of thoughtful treats and essentials to support people during treatment. At its heart, Little Lifts is about comfort, kindness, and community.
October 21, 2025When the team discovered the Give A Little Champion App which allows supporters to fundraise for them using their phones, they wanted to show people just how easy it is to use. They leaned into their playful, uplifting style and made a short video featuring their staff, volunteers, and even the office dogs, Norma and Myrty! The idea was simple: anyone can do it – just tap to donate. The result was a light-hearted, creative social media video that perfectly captured the spirit of Little Lifts while showing off the simplicity of the new Give A Little Champion charity donation app.
What made the video particularly special was who starred in it. Volunteer and beneficiary, Emma, who has been through breast cancer herself, appears in the video after initially connecting with the charity through their Fashion Show. She now supports community fundraising and marketing, bringing her lived experience to Little Lifts.. Hannah, one of the charity’s operations executives, also joined in. Her sister, Laura, is an ambassador for Little Lifts and is living with secondary breast cancer – making her involvement deeply personal. And of course, the dogs stole the show: Norma, who Oa welcomed into her life after treatment, and Myrty, a rescue from Greece, reminded viewers that if even the office pets can give it a go, so can anyone.
For Anya-Lee Temple, Little Lifts’ Brand, Marketing and Community Executive, the approach reflects the charity’s philosophy:
That positive, community-first energy comes through everything they do – from fashion shows and awareness stands, to fitness challenges, bake sales and their much-loved community events.
Give A Little is already finding its place at these events. Volunteers have loved using the CollecTin More contactless donation box at awareness stands, as it feels professional and easy to manage.
“I set it up at the start of the day and leave it with them – they don’t have to worry about a thing,”Anya explained. Going forward, Little Lifts plan to use the Give A Little Champion donation app with supporters during their upcomingBakes for Kindnesscampaign, and larger fundraising events like their trail run and fitness festival.
The team also see opportunities for their community champions to use the Give A Little Champion App to take spontaneous donations – like Graham, a much-loved volunteer, who is 78 years old, and is always helping spread the word of Little Lifts. As Anya put it:
With their creative spirit and uplifting approach, Little Lifts are proving that fundraising doesn’t need to feel daunting. By bringing Give A Little into their events and community fundraising, they’re making giving easier and more joyful. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
