Permitted organisations
Give A Little can be used by any organisation who are collecting cashless donations for a charitable purpose.
As a guide, the following types of organisations are permitted to open a fundraising account on the Give A Little platform:
Regulated charities
Exempt charities
Community Interest Companies
Community Amateur Sports Clubs
Companies that are not-for-profit (where articles of association state directors have no recourse to company funds)
Local government bodies (e.g. a council fundraising for a community event)
Corporates (where financial controls are established for the charitable purpose e.g. a separate bank account)
Associations (typically with constitution detailing the charitable purpose and use of finances solely for said purpose)
Where an organisation is not regulated, excepted, and asserts to be using Give A Little for charitable purposes, we consider they are subjective and may require additional information before verifying the account.
Every Give A Little account undergoes a manual verification step before fundraising can begin, so please ensure that the account details submitted are accurate to prevent delays.
See account verification for guidance on the verification process.
